Rain chains are alternatives to a downspout. Their purpose is largely decorative, to make a water feature out of the transport of rainwater from the guttering downwards to a drain or to a storage container. The supplies are 10 tiny terra cotta pots, blue, white and black paint, 2 meters large chain, 10 small chain links, pliers and a brush. Paint the pots with an ombre blue effect adding black or white where needed. Divide the largest chain in 11 parts of equal length, intersperse including pots using a small link to reunion. Once each pot is sandwiched, close links to unite both ends. Keep reading the tutorial at guiadejardin.com.
