It’s so gorgeous outside that I want to stay there all day and night long. If you too, then just make your outdoor spaces comfy to stay. Plant beautiful trees, shrubs and flowers, choose cool furniture, make a cozy fire pit, a pool and maybe a couple of citronella candles and tiki torches.
Tiki torches were traditionally made of bamboo but today we’re sharing a cool industrial-inspired idea. To make two stylish industrial tiki torches you’ll need (1) 1-3/8″ x 10′ diameter fence pole, (2) *steel light bulb cage, (2) *1″ PVC coupler, (2) *mason jar with lid, (2) tiki torch wick, high temperature spray paint. Insert one end of the pipe halfway into a coupler. Slide a light bulb guard halfway over the coupler and tighten the screws, securing it in place. At this point, spray the whole frame with two coats of high temperature spray paint. While the paint is drying, work on the mason jars. First, drill a 7/16″ hole in the center of the lid flat. Insert a wick through the hole in the lid flat. It needs to be a tight fit so the wick stays in place. Then, use a pair of scissors to trim the wick, making sure it would fit inside the mason jar. Now fill the mason jars, screw on the lids, and place your new tiki torches in the backyard. Now you have cool and stylish lights that look awesome in any modern backyard or garden.
