Inner city living often means that a garden has to be multifunctional. Parking space, entertaining area, a place to relax, a little greenery to counteract the harsh urban landscape. A multifunctional oasis just like this Melbourne courtyard by Eckersley Garden Architecture. I love the statement wall that creates a mood at once; the choice of plants was stipulated by the hot climate, so there is a lot of grass. The tight pool looks great and modern, though there wasn’t much space, the designers managed to allocate it. I love the comfortable zone for relaxing with two large floor pillows and a couple of chairs to sunbathe.
